who knew quiche could be so healthy, and yet still delicious

 



We’ve all heard breakfast is the most important meal of the day, this is because during the night your body feels as if it’s fasting and therefore our glucose gets lower. When you eat your breakfast in the morning, it will boost your energy and restore all the glucose levels that have been lost. That means that breakfast keeps your metabolism up for the day, it’s thought to help you focus. If you are someone like me who eats breakfast around what most people would consider lunch time, it could be referred to as intermittent fasting-which is proven to be beneficial to your metabolism as well! Many people resort to quick and toxic breakfasts favorites, like cereal or pop tarts. These foods do not keep you energized or keep you feeling good throughout the day like a healthy breakfast should. As an aspiring pediatric surgeon, I feel we should strive to encourage kids to eat a plate full of health-boosting foods for breakfast. Below is a recipe for a delicious quiche with sunflower crust, this dish contains so many ingredients beneficial to your body. Hope you enjoy!
